Alcohol can make you feel really full, but if you are sipping at your drink or if you are drinking a few alcoholic drinks a night, you could be adding more calories to your diet than what you ever need. Very few people will actually go out and think about the alcohol calories they are drinking, but if you are on a diet you need to make this one of your main concerns. Read the labels on the bottle, and if you find that you don’t know how many calories are in any bottle of beer, or in any mixed drink you are drinking, you should look in the calorie counters online and find out. If you are drinking alcohol calories that are really high, you should also consider switching what you are drinking, at least until you lose weight, and put additional exercise into your diet.
Many bars are limiting the number of drinks that one person can have in a night, but if you are not watching the calories that are in the drinks you are having you are not going to be on a diet that is going to give you any type of results that you want in the end. Most all drinks are going to have very little fat in them, but this does not have anything to do with the calories that are in the alcohol. Alcohol calories are put into your body, and then you usually are going to go home and go to bed for the night, leaving all those calories to be absorbed into your body where they are going to create fat storage. Cut back on the calories in your alcohol and find your diet will help you lose weight even more!
